We are a law firm focused on utilizing the Small Business Reorganization Act (SBRA) to help small businesses with less than $7,500,000* in debt survive the current economic crisis.
Our goal is to help small businesses manage their debts and obligations without losing their businesses, through court intervention or direct negotiation without court intervention. From restaurants to manufacturers to medical practices, we may be able to help you restructure your business using the protection offered by the Federal SBRA.
Some Problems Are Beyond Your Control
We may be able to help you manage, and in many instances reduce or eliminate your debt, without having you give up all the good will and assets you have accumulated in building your business. Similar to what the big companies do under the traditional Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, but easier, faster and most importantly, less expensively.
In 2019, Congress passed the Small Business Reorganization Act (SBRA). In early 2020, after Covid-19 started devastating the economy, Congress amended the Act to define small businesses as businesses with less than $7,500,000 in eligible debt. *
In addition to SBRA representation, we provide ancillary legal services including finance and business restructuring for debtors, creditors and investors, litigation and dispute resolution, out-of-court restructuring, prepackaged and prearranged Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions.
We represent clients in startups, healthcare and life science, energy, hospitality and leisure, brick and mortar, entertainment, retain and consumer products, technology, and transportation.
*Under current law the eligibility debt ceiling of $7,500,000 reverts to $2,725,625 on March 27, 2021.
